O Core – End

O Core – End

Everything ends. Every system will break down and come to an end. The end is inevitable. It is the limit of experience. And it is the beginning of life. The end is the first certain fact of the perceiving consciousness. Placing the end in the beginning means basing life on certainty; anchoring life in a positive action (creation), from life itself. Placing the end in the beginning means that we are always after the fact. Always already in the world, always already in life. Connected to the eternity of life. Beyond explanation and meaning.
End is fruition and detachment. It introduces the questions of why, and was it worth it? It summons the possibility of transgression, of passion, of creating meaning and sense in a senseless world.

The end is an opportunity for relief and wellbeing, for catharsis, creation, and enjoyment. And it also entails anguish and anxiety. A fear of going all the way, of reaching the end, of being the total sum of your actions and choices. Fear of starting to live. Fear of trying again and again. The end calls us to act in the shadow of death – to stand behind the action,
and see life as a rare and precious commodity.

There is an end. And there are no regrets.
