Prince of Eyes – The Diver
(Cards of Youth)
The diver dives into himself, on a quest to discover his inner world. He places himself in a bubble, wishing to experience something in a clean and quiet way, cut from the distractions of everyday life. A safe place. Beyond the commotion of the daunting reality, the diver frees himself to over-sensitivity. Like stepping into a daydream – creating an indifferent and vital space. A space of tranquility and calm and heightened sensitivity.
A space of reflection, of purposeless purposefulness. A space where one can wander, willing to get lost, without the sense of danger that accompanies losing one’s way. And although there is no danger, there is still concern. In the end one has to go back up and breathe, re-encounter the world and reality.
The diver wishes to go on a journey that follows the imagination and intuition and curiosity – a world where every experience and encounter has the potential to become a motivation for action.
The diver allows reality to organize itself within him. Without fear of consequence, he allows the familiar to become foreign and strange, allowing fantasy to reveal the real.
Beneath the surface of the water, in the silence, in the light of the ideal, he leaves his footprints in the sand. Like a record and impression of the passing and changing stream of consciousness. Against the good and worthy the diver sets beauty and pleasure to (re)connect action and the world.
Take some time for yourself. Go outside and feel the dream of reality.
