21 Core – The Child

The child summons fate, unwittingly, in the act of life itself. That is where his innocence is found.

The first of the believers, the creator of realities, and the ruler of the world. He lacks coordination, follows his curiosity and interest. He conspires, takes the game seriously, craves and covets. Cruel, vindictive, lover of entertainment and sweets. Subject to the pleasure that spreads through the body beyond measure, beyond control. Without any guilt or concern. Direct and immediate, without mediation, without defenses, without strategy or tactics. And nevertheless, cunning.

The regulator of times: An eternal present. With a past that is already gone and an unknown future. The child operates from common sense, arranges his affairs based on relevance, regardless of abilities.

He is of-the-moment, which is nothing but potentiality. An adaptive and improving life force. Vulnerable, exposed, subject to forces greater and stronger than him – requires protection and nurturing and security, and in return gives himself, produces pleasure and joy and laughter.

A child is a gift and a challenge and a surprise and a commitment. Allow him to challenge the present. Remind you of other, carefree times, of indifference to the troubles of everyday life, open and poised for adventure.

The child is the origin of the affirmation of life.
