Five of Consciousness – Wizardry
(Distortion/Reversal Cards)
Reality is formed by the amalgamation and inclusion of familiar and unfamiliar, essential and incidental forces. An encounter that starts with shock and continues with illusion. A realm in which consciousness fills gaps, ignores redundancies, jumps from one thing to another, makes mistakes and changes reality as it sees fit. Manipulates and formulates ideologies. Produces a unified, comprehensive, and all-encompassing picture, mostly in the attempt to explain and justify, break down and eliminate the mystery of existence.
Wizardry is nothing but a mystery machine that produces world images which are both partial and complete. A machine that produces complex and strange worlds. The magic takes hold of us and binds our attention. Gives precedence to belief and effect: To feeling. As though taking away our control over our destiny, and turning us into believers and dreamers.
And like in a dream, the questions change. These are not questions of truth or fiction, right or wrong, but of meaning and interpretation.
Snap out of it.
