Eight of Eyes – Action Hero
(Action Cards)
Action has two traits: It is indifferent to regret, and thus, it holds the truth. To capture the two, one needs
bravery – courage, stupidity, pride, and a sense of mission and responsibility; organizing desire, once again, according to what matters.
In times when everything has an equal and arbitrarily importance, in a place where the absurdity of existence annuls value, the action hero wishes to be involved, to change reality. To create. One needs to put the mask back on – overcome dilemmas – and act. Beyond any confrontation or justification. Take ownership over the action and become its agent.
The action hero sets a purpose in order to break free from it and move on. He wishes to set the random and accidental as essential and necessary. Breaking down molds and destroying conventions. Building an image of the world.
The action hero is not a superhero – even though he may think he is. He has no special traits or inherent advantage, only a burning desire. The action hero is the one who accepts the absolute necessity of the temporary, partial, private action. The one that originates in response. Who claims the here and now and forever. Who embraces the necessity, and need, and urgency. Who acts and thus sustains.
What to do? Just do.
