Two of Feathers – Pirate
(The “I”/Ego Cards)
Restless, existence is (a call for) an adventure. A quest of discovering and realizing hidden possibilities. A journey of resourcefulness and creativity, of joie de vivre and love of adventure, of movement and change and courage and fear and overcoming. A journey of surrendering to the spirit and standing your ground: A journey of imagination and creation. A romantic-ideal (passionate and violent) journey beyond the familiar and known, and into the fantasy.
The pirate navigates “outside territorial waters,” beyond the place and its laws, in the in-between areas, drifting across the waves of time. Forever between the present moment and the next thing. This is the first and basic stage concerning existence: The fulfilment of desires and passions, in an experience of heightened energies. The pirate seizes and conquers. Leaves an impression. And moves on.
The pirate is willing to take risks, and willing to pay the price of glory (hoping, perhaps, at least to break even).
Existence precedes any determination, and determination – acting and believing in it – is the wind in the sails of existence.
