Six of Consciousness –
Hall of Culture
(Creative Cards)
Culture is the realm within which human activity is organized and manifested. A sphere for the production of meaning that originates in the feeling of pleasure, play, amusement, and invention. A space for cultivating and fulfilling the potential of the creative force. This is a space of illusion, a necessary “addition” to human existence. A space that turns the need for exposure and recognition into a mechanism that controls and shapes consciousness.
We live in an age where culture has become existential and existence has become cultural. Picture or it didn’t happen (mass culture). An age where quality has been replaced by quantity (popularity). Where desires and creation are sublimated and regulated through production processes in the entertainment industry. A sphere where pleasure has been replaced by hedonism.
Culture is the realm of a godless ritual, where things (and people) are nothing but systems of seduction and stimulation. A fetishistic realm governed by the principle of substitution and intensification (more and more). A realm of empty promises where anyone can instantaneously move into the pantheon of the gods, become an Übermensch (celeb) through the power of publicity.
Culture is the manifestation of human nature to transgress nature – to create.
